Necktie Party in Iraq, Wait, What's That About #3000?

1. Before the kneejerk reaction starts, no, I did not like Saddam Hussein. He started his infamous career as a small time torturer. Most people who get involved in torture are ruined by it for life. Not our boy Saddam. He would videotape himself torturing people and watch it later to get in the mood for sex. In other words, the perfect CIA/ Bush Crime Family stooge, until he affected the price of oil, then of course he was "worse than Hitler." The rest is 15 years of history that may yet be written as the fall of the United States as the world's moral leader, as it quickly became the tiger to kill the tiger.

2. It is interesting that the rush to get Hussein's execution over with coincides so perfectly with the increased US military death rate in Iraq, making number 3000 come so quickly that it even surprised those planning demonstrations for it. Trust me, no one had late December. Of course, this could be a coincidence. If so, it goes onto a growing list of same that started the same time the shrub's administration did.

3. One coincidence is believable. 200 of them becomes a bit too much. Briefly: Anyone who believes they suddenly moved up Saddam's execution because his appeals were up and they wanted to get in before a religious holiday should contact me elsewhere regarding a nice bridge in New York City I've been trying to sell for tax purposes before the calendar year closes.

4. 2006 is the high point of government by news cycle. It's hard to think of any big event in the war on an emotion that didn't come right when another shot of fear was needed to maintain same. Remember that nefarious plot to blow up airliners in the UK? Turns out that the gang that couldn't shoot straight wasn't even close to a working plan to get explosives onto planes. In fact, they had been infiltrated and MI-whatever was waiting to catch them with the goods at the airport. Dubbya sped it up for news cycle grabbing purposes, thus compromising the investigation and probably letting a few of these terrorists off with light or no sentences for lack of evidence.

5. I'm sick of this. Things should happen when it's the best time for them. Imagine if the Supreme Commanders in Europe had waited for better weather for photography before launching D-Day. We'd be speaking Russian now.

6. Please help make them stop.
